D&D Rules

If you are interested in playing one of Cleric's D&D games, please read the rules below and sign up with the short Google form at the bottom of the page:

1. HOW TO PLAY - You must be a Tier 2 subscriber on Cleric's Twitch channel and have your Twitch channel integrated with your Discord. You may play as many times as your schedule and Cleric's allows (and so long as your character is within the designated game's area/time), but you are guaranteed at least one game within the month you have subscribed. If you cannot schedule a game within that month, we will allow an additional month carryover for you to schedule one game, but the courtesy cannot be extended to a third month. You may work out a scheduled time with Cleric before you subscribe if needed.
Once you have subscribed, contact Cleric via Discord so that he can confirm and start the character creation process!

2. TOS - We ask you to follow Twitch's Terms of Service since these games will be streamed live on the platform. Failure to do so may expel you from playing entirely and there will be no subscription refunds. Please exercise common sense and be respectful of your fellow players and gm. This is a team-based game, not a PVP arena. Don't try to ruin others' fun for your own sake, toxicity will not be tolerated. If toxic behavior happens, you may be warned only once if it is not a major infraction of the rules.

3. GAME RULES – Respect the DM's decision on rules, first and foremost. It is okay to ask a general question about how a rule works or bring up that you thought a rule worked differently, but once the DM has looked up the rule and made a decision on whether to enforce it or not, we ask that you respect the call so we can move forward with gaming.
Since Cleric's games have a strong focus on character roleplaying, we ask that you not assume the need to roll for everything even if you are used to in other games. But, if you believe that a die roll would greatly help your case, such as in persuasion situations, you could ask Cleric first if it's okay to roll for it (sometimes players may not have the right words/actions, but their characters would!).

4. CHARACTER CREATION – As a Tier 2 subscriber, you are able to play one character in Cleric's campaign. Cleric asks everyone to make time to speak to him one-on-one so that he gets to know your character idea and know you better as a player as well! However, keep in mind that any important notes you need him to remember must be on your Roll20 character sheet. Please be clear about your information, short concise notes or bullet points are best. Cleric prefers that you not have an extensive backstory prepared because it is likely that he will not be able to retain every bit of information due to the fact that he has many characters, both PCs and NPCs to keep up with.
Flexibility with your backstory is highly encouraged so that Cleric may develop an interesting path for your character to explore in growth! So please be open to story developments that implement your character's basic, most important background information and expands it throughout the campaign.

5. MULTIPLE CHARACTERS – If you are a Tier 3 subscriber, you have the ability to have up to 3 characters. All prior rules still apply, so please make sure you can follow those rules and have availability to play!

6. CONTENT WARNINGS / PLAYER COMFORT – Some games may include heavy dramatic elements such as revenge, character deaths, traumatic backstories, etc. If you have any triggers or content that you are uncomfortable with in games, please tell Cleric ahead of time so that he may be mindful of this during games. If you have any problems arise with another player, please privately message Cleric or anyone designated with a D&D Board role.

Any other questions, concerns, or clarifications can be messaged directly to Cleric via Discord or email!
